Planning the Perfect One Happy Camper Birthday
Where to Have the Party
We had our party at our house. We wanted to be outside because our party was in late spring/early summer. There was a chance of rain in the forecast, so we set up the party in our garage but were able to be outside for most of it.
If you have a backyard or outdoor space, that could be the perfect spot for your party. You could set up tents, a campfire, and other outdoor decorations to create a fun happy camper atmosphere.
If you don’t have an outdoor space to use where you live, you could consider renting a pavilion at a local park or community center that has an outdoor space.
And, of course, having the party inside works too!

For food and drink options at your One Happy Camper birthday party, think camping-themed snacks and treats.
We grilled hot dogs and hamburgers and had chips and fruit to go with it. We also had Teddy Grahams, goldfish, and trail mix to fit with the theme.
And of course a s’mores bar with graham crackers, marshmallows, and chocolate (Hershey’s & Reese’s).
Camping-themed cookies would be a fun idea if you have someone local who makes custom frosted sugar cookies.
For drinks, we just had water and pop, but serving lemonade or iced tea would fit well with the theme.
Cake & Cupcakes
There are so many cute ways to decorate a “One Happy Birthday” cake. I decided to keep it simple and bought a plain white smash cake from my local grocery store (it was only $7!) and then decorated it with a cake topper and woodland figurines.
This customizable cake topper is so adorable if you’re looking for something personalized.
The cupcakes were just as simple – I bought cupcakes with white frosting from our local grocery store and then stuck a graham cracker, Hershey chocolate, and Teddy Graham on top of each one.
