I created this resource page to easily list the recommended sites, apps, and tools that we use to plan and save money on travel. I have also included our favorite baby and toddler travel products!
This post contains affiliate or sponsored links. That means if you click and buy, I may receive a small commission (at no cost to you). Please see my full disclosure policy for details. However, these are all products I highly recommend. I won’t put anything on this page that I haven’t verified and/or personally used.
Travel Booking Apps & Sites
Lodging, Flights, Car Rentals
Many different platforms can be used to compare flight, hotel, and car rental deals. I personally always check multiple platforms listed below because you never which one will have the best deal for your location and travel dates!
Expedia
Expedia is a booking platform that finds you deals on flights, hotels, car rentals, excursions, and cruises. It is free to join their rewards program, and you can earn points that give you discounts on future bookings.

Hotwire
We use Hotwire to search for good deals on car rentals or hotel stays. There are special Hot Rate Deals, and you can sometimes find some incredible values if you book these. It does not tell you the exact car rental company or hotel you are getting, but you can usually figure it out based on the location and ratings that they give you. We once got a 5-star hotel in downtown Chicago for $45/night through a Hot Rate Deal. You can save more money by booking through their app.
Priceline
We also use Priceline to search for good deals on car rentals or hotel stays. It is similar to Hotwire – they offer Express Deals for lodging – you don’t know the name of the hotel you are getting, but you know the general location and rating of the hotel.
Hopper
I search for both hotels and flights through the Hopper app. I usually find better hotel deals elsewhere, but every once in a while Hopper will have a deal that beats the rest. I mainly use Hopper to check flight prices. It compares airlines and finds you the best deals. They have a color-coded calendar that shows you the cheapest dates to book flights for a particular location. They also let you know whether you should book flights right away or if prices are expected to drop. You can also pay to freeze flight prices.

Skyscanner
I always check the Skyscanner app for the best flight deals. Skyscanner is similar to Hopper in that it will show you the cheapest dates to book and will tell you if you should book now or if the price is predicted to go down in the future.
Our Favorite Baby & Toddler Travel Products
GB Pockit Stroller
We LOVE our GB Pockit Stroller. It is perfect for travel. It’s so easy to fold and unfold and fits into the overhead bin on an airplane. Flight attendants are also shocked at how small it folds up. I also keep this in my car and use it when we are running errands because it is so compact and easy to get in and out of the car.
Baby Bjorn Travel Crib
We use this travel crib whenever we are on trips or vacations or staying with family. It is recommended for use from newborn to 3 years. It is lightweight, easy to fold and unfold, and fits inside a suitcase for air travel. We also use this breathable blackout cover with it.
Travel Booster Chair
We use this little travel chair all the time. It is easy for us to bring with us if we are going to stay with family or stay in a hotel or Airbnb. We also use it if we are grilling out or want to eat outside at our own house. The tray can be easily wiped down or put in the dishwasher. Unfortunately, the fabric does not come off the chair, so can be hard to get the fabric part clean.
Cosco Mightyfit 65 Car Seat
This lightweight car seat is the one that we always take with us if we are flying. It weighs about 12 pounds, so it is easy to carry around. It is very affordable, works for children from 5-65 pounds, and can be rear or forward-facing. This car seat is also slim, so it frees up more space in the back seat.
Backpack Car Seat Travel Bag
We use this car seat carrying bag when we fly – it makes the car seat super easy to carry around and protects it under the plane during the flight.
Packing Cubes
Packing cubes help keep everyone’s clothes organized and separated. These are especially helpful if you are taking a road trip and not staying in one set place the whole time. I like to use these clear packing cubes in our carry-ons so I can easily organize, contain, and see toys, snacks, and other travel essentials that we need during our flight.
Portable Diaper Changing Pad
We use this portable changing pad all.the.time. It is one of our top baby travel essentials. I love that it has a place to keep diapers, wipes, and creams. We have everything we need right in this one little compact bag. I don’t have to dig through the diaper bag for everything and have it all conveniently ready to go.
Blogging Resources

WordPress & WPX
My blog is a self-hosted WordPress blog that is hosted through WPX. I highly recommend WPX because their customer service is unbelievable. They have a 24/7 chat feature, and they answer questions and help me do things on the back end of my site all the time.
Canva
I am pretty obsessed with Canva. It’s super user-friendly, and there is SO much that you can do even with the free version. I create my Pinterest Pins, graphics, logos, printables for our short-term rentals, decor for our rentals and my own house, & more! I love it!!
By Sophia Lee Courses
I highly, recommend Sophia’s courses if you are starting a blog! I bought her Perfecting Blogging and Perfecting Pinterest Bundle, & they were worth every penny. They made setting up my website, figuring out SEO, learning a Pinterest strategy and so many more things SO much easier and faster than trying to go and research everything on my own. Her courses are videos, which I love, and she walks you through every step and you can do it right along with her. I love that you can start applying what you learn immediately!

A Self Guru Legal Pages
Amira’s legal page templates have super easy-to-follow instructions. Her templates bring me peace of mind. I got her Starter Legal Bundle, which includes a privacy policy, disclaimer, and terms and conditions page, plus some extra bonuses.
